|A present for Mummy
I have cleverly learned how to undo zips and poppers, and I particularly like to open Mummy's handbag and see what is inside. For some reason, though, she doesn't like it when I take her things out of her handbag. I don't really understand that, but anyway, to make it up to her, today I put a pine-cone *in* her handbag. I wonder how long it will take her to notice? Current Mood: accomplished
|Stage one of Master Plan achieved
Excellent. After much practice, some rather undignified, I have mastered the art of crawling. Thus I no longer have to rely on being carried about, or put up with just sitting where I am deposited. I particularly like to get up and crawl away while my nappy is being changed; it all adds up to a delightful sensation of freedom. Mummy and Daddy are clearly pleased by my new-found facility of movement, as they frequently encourage me by calling my name loudly when I have made it out of their reach.
I have noticed, however, that most people do not actually get around by crawling; thus I am already working on the next stage of progress, walking. So far I am able to pull myself to a standing position with the aid of handy objects, such as furniture or Mummy's skirt. Also good are the shelves which Daddy suddenly decided to bracket to the wall, the television, and the loo. Today I have discovered that I do not in fact need such paltry support, and I can lever myself upright simply by bracing against the wall. This is a most satisfactory development.
In recognition of my prodigious exploratory talents, Mummy and Daddy have installed a Stargate for me. I look forward to covering the whole length of the corridor and examining it more closely.
ETA: It turns out to be a Stairgate. I am somewhat disappointed. Current Mood: accomplished
|New Year's Resolutions
Mummy says that while it is still January I should post my New Year’s Resolutions, so here they are:
1) Learn to eat healthily. In fact, learn to eat.
2) Get plenty of exercise - spend more time in my (baby-)gym.
3) Support Mummy and Daddy by encouraging them to exercise - make sure they spend plenty of time running up and down the stairs and weight-lifting.
4) Keep in touch with my friends. Meet up with knittedpippin
now I’m on the outside.
5) Take care of my looks - practise Cute Looks every day. Current Mood: cute
